Learn to Make Pottery!
Our pottery classes are perfect for anyone seeking a relaxed studio experience. With small class sizes and ample workspace, we offer abundant opportunities for creative inspiration!
Hand-building classes feature structured lessons in coil, slab, and pinch-pot techniques, as well as adding attachments and glazing.
Wheel-throwing classes provide detailed instruction on centering, throwing, and trimming pots, along with advice and demonstrations on glazing and glaze combinations.
Open Studio sessions are ideal for ceramic artists who prefer a more independent working environment, with assistance available from the teacher as needed. These sessions are a generous 5 hours long.
We use cone 6 stoneware clay (Laguna #55) in all our ceramics classes, suitable for everything from dinnerware to sculpture. We also provide dipping and brush-on glazes, underglazes, and all necessary tools, bisque molds, and more.
Folks love our large, bright studio space, ample hand-building tables and tools, and 5 electric wheels. Our experienced ceramic artists are always available for individual attention.
Class makeup policy allows for 2 missed classes per 6 or 8 session. Speak to the teacher about arrangements when emergencies and special circumstances arise.
